SoCal Volleyball Club Hotronix® Testimonial

Hotronix Heat Presses

It’s an Air Affair!

Hotronix® Dual Air Fusion Helps Volleyball Club Win Big

Featured Quote: “As a perfectionist, I sometimes still see shirts I’ve printed before I had the Dual Air Fusion and I cringe when I notice that the logos aren’t perfectly positioned. Now I never worry about that.”

“It’s an air affair” is a slogan that volleyball fans and players use to describe a great game. In this case, it’s also used to describe the in-house apparel decoration set up at the SoCal Volleyball Club in San Marcos, California. The club’s store manager, Linda Suster, has overseen heat printing for the club for almost three years now. Previously, she printed thousands of shirts using a manual clam press that she had to physically wrestle with to get the job done. After purchasing a Hotronix Dual Air Fusion® in January 2019, Linda jokingly says that decorating is now so easy, she feels like she could do her nails and makeup while she heat prints.

According to Linda, SoCal Volleyball, owned by Scott Phillips and Aimee Aesbroek, is a very successful club with a four-court facility and a mission of offering teams and training that nourish physical, mental and emotional development for players ages seven to adult. In addition to all that, Linda continues, “We sell custom printed team uniforms, fanwear, spirit wear, shoes and volleyball-related equipment and accessories.”

“When I first started heat printing, I was afraid to ruin a $55 shirt, but I quickly figured out how to get the job done, even with my first press, which wasn’t really operator-friendly, especially when printing thousands of shirts,” recalls Linda.

“We discovered the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion at the Long Beach Imprinted Sportswear Show. What really impressed me the most was the built-in laser system for layouts. As a perfectionist, I sometimes still see shirts I’ve printed before I had the Dual Air Fusion and I cringe when I notice that the logos aren’t perfectly positioned. Now I never worry about that. With the Dual Air Fusion I can get precise placement no matter how many shirts I’m printing.”

Another thing Linda appreciates about the Dual Air Fusion is that has complete threadability and it’s easy to put shirts on and off the press. “I wasn’t able to do this with my previous clam machine and it’s a huge time saver.”

Linda uses the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion to apply custom transfers from Transfer Express, mostly Goof Proof® screen printed transfers. She also uses it to add names, numbers and logos to everything from hoodies to practice t-shirts, shorts and pants. In addition to all the garments need for club members, she also prints for some local high school volleyball teams.

“We’re so glad to be out of the prehistoric heat press days,” says Linda. “I used to have to stand on a chair to close the press and now all I have to do is press two buttons. I sometimes feel lazy compared to how difficult it was to get the job done before. It’s almost indescribable as to how much easier and how much improved the Hotronix Dual Air Fusion has made my heat printing life.”
